Community Guidelines
Last Updated: May 2026
Welcome to SportCredible — The place for fans who actually know sports.
SportCredible is a community built on credibility knowledge and accountability. These guidelines exist to protect the quality of our platform and ensure every member has a meaningful experience. By joining SportCredible you agree to uphold these standards.
1. Respect and Conduct
SportCredible is a place for passionate debate not personal attacks. The following are strictly prohibited: personal attacks on other members, racist sexist homophobic or discriminatory language of any kind, harassment or targeted abuse of any member, threats of any kind, trolling or deliberately derailing discussions, and impersonating other members public figures or SportCredible staff. Disagreeing passionately is welcome. Being disrespectful is not. You can tell someone their take is wrong — attack the argument never the person.
2. Content Rules
To maintain quality and legal compliance all members must follow these content rules: No spam — do not post the same content multiple times or across multiple categories. No self promotion — do not use SportCredible to promote your own YouTube channel podcast or social media unless you are an approved SportCredible partner. No misinformation — do not present rumors as confirmed facts. If something is unconfirmed label it as such. No clickbait titles — your title must accurately represent your post content. No illegal content — do not share copyrighted material illegal streams or any content that violates applicable law. One top level comment per post — members may leave one top level comment per post. Repeatedly commenting on your own posts or coordinating with others to artificially inflate discussion counts is a violation of our community standards.
3. Prediction Rules
Predictions must be submitted before the event or outcome occurs. Retroactive predictions are prohibited. Predictions are locked once submitted and cannot be edited. Outcomes are marked as Correct Incorrect or Pending by SportCredible moderators. Attempting to manipulate your prediction record is grounds for permanent ban. Disputed outcomes can be appealed through our moderation team.
4. Voting and Reputation
Upvote content you genuinely find insightful or well reasoned. Downvote content that does not meet quality standards — not content you simply disagree with. Do not create multiple accounts to manipulate votes. Do not coordinate with others to mass upvote or downvote specific members. Reputation is earned through consistent quality and cannot be bought or gamed.
5. Account Integrity
Each member is permitted one SportCredible account. The following are strictly prohibited and will result in permanent ban of all associated accounts: creating multiple accounts for any reason, using a secondary account to manipulate votes or reputation, using a secondary account to evade a suspension or ban, using a secondary account to manipulate your prediction record, using VPNs or other tools to circumvent our verification systems, and sharing your account with another person.
6. Moderation
Moderators have final say on content removal and account actions. First violations typically result in a warning. Repeated or severe violations result in temporary suspension. Severe violations including hate speech harassment and manipulation result in permanent ban. Banned members may not create new accounts to circumvent their ban. If you believe a moderation decision was made in error appeal through our official appeal process. Do not argue moderation decisions publicly in posts or comments.
7. Reporting
Use the report button on any post or comment to report violations. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. False or malicious reporting is itself a violation of these guidelines. Do not publicly call out other members — use the report system.
8. General Principles
When in doubt ask yourself three questions before posting: Is this credible — would a knowledgeable sports fan respect this take? Is this accountable — am I prepared to stand behind this publicly? Is this quality — does this contribute something meaningful to the conversation? If the answer to all three is yes — post it. If not — rethink it.
9. Violations and Consequences
